( Sister Kiera Leavitt, Sister Mousser, Sister Figale, Sister Allie Allred- MTC roomies.) So I made it to the MTC! I'll admit it's wasn't the easiest the first few days but everyone says make it to Sunday and now I know why. Sunday is the best day in the MTC because you get to take the sacrament.   My companion is Sister Allred! That's right the most awesome companion in the world! Her and I get along so well and I am so grateful for her. I room with two other Sisters (Sister Mousser amd Sister Figale). They are complete polar opposites but they work so great together. Sister Mousser keeps us all on track and sister Figale keeps all the jokes and laughter going. We are already so close to each other. They are some of my best friends!  When I got to the MTC it was an overload of everything to be honest I don't remember much of that day but they had us start teaching people the first day we got here. So on Friday Sister Allread and I got assigned to be s...

Entering the MTC

Kiera was made an ordained Sister by President Dan Frei on Tuesday May 16th 9:00pm in the Santa Clara Valley Chapel.  It was a good spiritual evening with her family in attendance.  (Greg, Makayla, Chase, Lexie, Lainee, Ferron, Peggy, Dennis & Maggie Anderson.) President Frei admonished Kiera to write down the blessings and promises that she could remember from her setting apart ordination so that she may reflect upon them in the future for guidance and comfort. Makayla was then told that she was told that she was Senior Companion with Sister Kiera Leavitt and Greg was told to keep us in line by acting as the Zone Leader! What the Snow?! The family left early Wednesday May 17th to take Sister Kiera Leavitt to the Provo MTC.  It was a stormy day and as we traveled we encountered areas of rain and snow and cold winds.  Amazing weather for the month of May!   We arrived in Provo safe and with plenty of time to go to the Olive Garden Restaurant for lu...

THE CALL TO DUTY!

Sister Kiera Leavitt has always wanted to serve a mission! Kiera was blessed as an infant to serve a mission and her Patriarchal Blessing mentions several times about serving a mission.  When the age for girls was lowered, Kiera was ready to go even though she was still years away from age eligibility! She has planned and worked for it intently over the last 3 years.  She set a goal to finish Cosmetology school after graduation from Snow Canyon High School in May 2016.  She very seldom missed a day of school because she knew that she would have to make it up and that would extend her time further to be finished as well as possibly costing her more money if she happened to go over her time limit (in which she never even came close to! But she wasn't going to take any chances!) Kiera graduated from Hairitage Hair Academy in November 2016. Her plan was to work about 6 months so that she would have enough money to support her own mission.  So off to work at Fanta...
