Sister Leavitt has arrived in the OEM! - June 8, 2017

Dear Parents,
Your missionary has arrived safe and sound in the Oregon Eugene Mission – the greatest mission on earth.   Her companion is Sister Datwyler, and they are assigned to serve in Corvallis.
Her mailing address is 1136 NW Alder Creek Dr.  Corvallis, OR  97330 for at least 6 weeks.  The mission office address is always an option as transfers can happen as often as every 6 weeks.  The mission office address:  55 W 29th Ave, STE A, Eugene, OR 97405.  Just remember that only first class and priority mail can be forwarded.
You will be interested in our mission blog.  The website is: http://oemrussell.blogspot.com/
Thank you for sending this wonderful missionary.  We look forward to serving with her.

Mission Secretary

One of the first orders of business was to get a picture in front of the mission home with the newest missionaries in the best mission ever: the OEM.
Sister Marin, President & Sister Russell, Sister Mousser, Sister Hawkes,
Sister Fiagle, Sister Allred, and Sister Leavitt.

This is one extremely happy group of missionaries!!!

Our newest missionaries in the Oregon Eugene Mission
Sister Mousser, Sister Hawkes (apparently blinked), Sister Marin, Sister and President Russell,
Sister Fiagle, Sister Allred, and Sister Leavitt.

Once that excitement is over the Sisters meet the office senior missionaries. Each of these senior missionaries have a responsibility and they explain what they do to the Sisters.

This is the most fun at transfers, when the new missionaries meet their trainers!
President Russell calls up the trainer and shows a picture of the area they will be serving in and then announces who she will be training.
Sister Leavitt and Sister Datwyler

It was a gorgeous  day here in Eugene as we picked up these beautiful Sisters
from the airport.
Left: Sister Fiagle, Sister Hawkes, Sister Allred, Sister Mousser, Sister Marin,
and Sister Leavitt.

You can also see Elder Cronin (one of the president's assistants) and President Russell putting their suitcases in the truck. Elder Hill, the other assistant is just outside the frame to the right. Sorry, Elder Hill.

Sister Danley is our nurse. She, like all the office senior missionaries, is quite busy! She tells the Sisters about how to stay healthy and happy, She will be the one to call if they get sick or need to go to the doctor. She also passed out the emergency bags the Sisters are keep supplies if they have to leave in a hurry.

Elder Danley is our apartment coordinator. He makes sure all the apartments are safe, they all have what they need in their apartments. He also makes sure their fire and CO alarms are working well. I almost forgot, he also handles the bikes. But since none of these Sisters have bikes, he was off the hook this transfer,
Elder Bullock is the financial missionary. He handles any problems with their support cards. He also takes care of paying rent, etc. for the mission.

Sister Bullock is our referrals secretary. Whenever she receives a referral she makes sure it gets to the proper missionaries. Often missionaries will give her referrals for other parts of the United States and the world. In addition to that she takes care of the mail.

Sister Mabey is the office secretary and  is training Sister Jensen, she let Sister Jensen sit this first time out.
She handles the baptismal records, and various other office duties.
