Finished Training! August 28, 2017

Family and friends, 
First of all I just want to give a shout out to the best brother in the whole world!!! It's his Birthday on Saturday! Something I love about my brother is how good of a listener he is. I use to spend hours in his room before bed and he would have to kick Me out because he would get tired. My Brother is the sweetest kindest guy you would ever meet. He is such a hard worker.

 I hope you have an amazing Birthday! I love you Chase! 

It has been another great week. Many things are changing. I finished my 12 weeks of training so that was exciting! 

We got Transfer calls on Friday right before a lesson. When you get calls on Friday you know someone is either going to be a sister training leader or training a new missionary. I was so relieved when I heard Sister Datwyler would be a sister training leader and she is going to Klamath falls. But then President said and Sister Leavitt you will be staying in Corvallis and Training. So transfers are happining today and I will be spending 3 days with Sister Phaul in Eugene and then will meet my new companion on Thursday. It has been crazy trying to get everything ready. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. But I know if the Lord wants me to do this then he will be by my side the whole time! I am excited to be able to help my new companion start  her mission great! 


As of the work we had a few people drop us this week but one of the biggest success I've seen is from the Book of Mormon class. Our ward missionaries started a weekly potluck in the park and then we go to the Book of Mormon class right after. This week we had 2 investigators. And then anotber lady from the church near by came to check it out and we have had a few less actives and recent converts come. It is so much fun! The Book of Mormon is so powerful! If you ever have doubts about anything read the Book of Mormon! I love learning more and more from it each day. I encourage you all to read from it everyday

Sister Kiera Leavitt has always wanted to serve a mission! Kiera was blessed as an infant to serve a mission and her Patriarchal Blessing mentions several times about serving a mission.  When the age for girls was lowered, Kiera was ready to go even though she was still years away from age eligibility! She has planned and worked for it intently over the last 3 years.  She set a goal to finish Cosmetology school after graduation from Snow Canyon High School in May 2016.  She very seldom missed a day of school because she knew that she would have to make it up and that would extend her time further to be finished as well as possibly costing her more money if she happened to go over her time limit (in which she never even came close to! But she wasn't going to take any chances!) Kiera graduated from Hairitage Hair Academy in November 2016. Her plan was to work about 6 months so that she would have enough money to support her own mission.  So off to work at Fanta...

Blow The Door Off- March 15, 2018

Zone Temple Trip Family and Friends!  Lots to catch you up on. Hope I can remember everything I did. We have stayed super busy and we are not slowing down. This transfer is just flying by.  So on the 6th we had MLC. Which stands for Missionary Leadership Council. It was my first time going and it was so much fun!!! So many of my past companions were there, like Sister Allred and Sister John! We were able to council all togther of how to help the mission improve and what things we can do. What a huge blesisng it is to see that side of missionary work!  Sister Allred & Sister Leavitt One part I really loved about MLC was goal setting and planning. We talked about how we as missionariesare are really good at setting goals and making plans but we need to have a vision. Zone conference! Sept 19, 2017

Dear Family and Friends!   This week was such a spiritually uplifting week. On Thursday we went to zone conference where Elder Scott D Whiting and Elder Adilson De Paula Parrella of the seventy came and spoke to us. They allowed us as missionaries ask what ever questions we might have.  Some things I really enjoyed from the talks was  "it's only after pondering that you receive revilation" we need to practice pondering so we allow the things we learn to sink in and allow revilation to come.  Have you ever been in a conversation where someone talks to you and asks you for advice or questions but they don't allow you time to answer or talk?  Are we allowing the time in our prayers for Heavenly Father to answer us or are we just asking and interrupting because we keep talking?  "make a focus on one thing.
