Family and Friends! I just wanted to send a quick email and wish you all a Merry Christmas!! This past week has been absolutely amazing as we taught Phil this week he wasn't sure if he would ever be baptized but by the time we left the lesson he said he would countinue to pray about it. Sister Evans and I decided to stop by and drop off a Christmas present when Phil surprised us and said "Sisters Guess what!? I decided I am going to be baptized!" wow it was an amazing miracle! Best Christmas Surprise  Thank you all for making this a Christmas one I will always remember! I love you so much and hope this Christmas is one where you remember Christ and all he has done for you! Love Sister Leavitt skirt made by Marlyn Sister Evans & Sister Leavitt in their new blankies!

My Christmas Family Tree Dear Family and Friends! Thank You all so much for the love and support. Christmas time is truly magical here on the mission. We have done so many fun activities like caroling and visiting care homes. I love the spirit of Christmas time.  This week: we met with Phil and his wife Carol a cute elderly couple. Carol was baptized a few months ago and she is losing her memory that has been super hard on Phil. Phil was going to be baptized with Carol but that ended up not happening. So as we went over this week to talk with him we were able to answer many of his questions he has had. Phil has been thinking a lot about Christ throughout his days and he is also praying everyday. We Invited Phil to pray about being baptized and he said he would. We are so excited to be meeting with them again this next week. We also had an amazing dinner this week with a lady named Tracy. Tracy hadn't been in church for about 7 years and Sister McReynolds h...

Adventures with the RV- December 11, 2017

Dear Family and Friends!  The weeks just keep flying past faster and faster. We have had some interesting conversations this week. We went to an Rv park and met a lady named Lori. She talked to her stuffed rabbit and when Sister Evans popped her knuckles while we were talking, Lori stopped and made her do breathing exercises I was trying so hard not to laugh as my companion was stretching her arms and back as Lori directed. We did find a new investigator at the Rv park so that was good.  We also ate dinner at a members RV this week as well.  The we met a man in a bridge who was homeless and he talked to us for a few minutes and told us how we should say the word "word" everyday. But maybe we are the crazy ones because this week Sister Evens and I wrote all our weaknesses on plates and destroyed them. Sometimes it feels good to destroy then and to remember that it is through the atonement of Jesus Christ that he can make weak things become strong. We had our w...

Service and Blessings- December 4, 2017

Family and Friends!  This week we have been staying super busy contacting former investigators. We have had so many neat experiences. And have enjoyed lighting the world each day with different activities.  On day one we wrote thank you cards to the sweet families that fed us on Thanksgiving. And the cards we gave were made by a sweet lady in Oregon who can't get out much so she spends most her time making cards to give to the sister missionaries to write thank you notes on. How cute is she!!!  On day two we made water bottles that had light the world on them and gave them to homeless people. That was really special it made my day knowing that we could help them out in such a small simple way. It's kinda funny my parents taught me all my life not to talk to strangers and now I'm here in Oregon seeking them out,  knocking on their doors to talk to them. Haha I love it so much! Tracking has become one of my favorite things to do!  last P day...

Happy Thanksgiving- November 27, 2017

Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends! I hope you all ate lots of food this week! I definitely have. On Monday-Thursday Sister Wood came to Cottage Grove and stayed with me as we both waited for our new sister missionaries to arrive. It was fun to get to know her better and talk about goals of what kind of a trainer we want to be. This was both of our 2nd time training. Sister Wood & Sister Leavitt We were able to teach Paula on Tuesday and also Destanie. Destanie wasn't sure if she would be able to make it on Sunday so I was super worried because it has been 2 weeks and she still hadn't been confirmed. But no worries she made it on Sunday and everything worked out. It was all the Lords work getting her there lots and lots of prayers. I'm so grateful for Heavenly Father making sure she is there and taking that worry off my shoulders.  We had meetings almost every night in Eugene for the trainers. And on Wednesday to Thursday we spent the night in Eugene with s...
