"What a Great life we live!" -Us everyday, May 21, 2018

This week we continued to see many miracles. On Tuesday we went and helped the Riverside Sisters paint one of their investigators house. Then Elder Beck took us out to get phosphates. We were greatful for the happy gathering as he scared us the past week because they were pretty sure they would have to take out car. Lucky for us we still have the car! No bikes for us! 

This week we met with Tom he is doing really well as he is searching for a new job. He is seeing God answer so many prayers as he is searching for new adventures. He is also really working on finish place that will allow him to have Sundays off. 

We were able to meet with the Calves family this week and we read alma 32 with them and they loved how faith grows like a seed. They like to plant flowers and trees in their yard as a family so the were able to relate with this chapter really well. We talked about how we need to take a leap of faith and trust in the Lord. 

We met with Hailey and Rodrigo this week and taught them about the Restoration. Hailey was just loving every little piece. We told her how she could find the movie about Joseph Smith and she looked it up right then and there and started watching it. Hahaha we had to pause the movie so we could finish up the lesson with a closing prayer.

On Saturday we were able to meet with them at the church and give them a tour of the building. They were so cute and picked where they wanted to sit and everything. On Sunday we kept looking for them and we found out there new baby got sick and they took him into the doctors so they missed coming. I hope their baby gets better soon so they can come next week.

We had a lesson with Chris who we found a few weeks ago. He has met with missionaries in the past and seems to know alot as well. It went pretty well and I'm excited to keep teaching him. 

We also met with Matthew and right now im not sure how much of a desire he has to act but he is very interested in the Mormon religion and has found a lot of answers just by meeting with us. It's just hard when he isn't willing to do anything on his own time. 

This week Tracy who I worked with in Cottage Grove got baptized! She looked so happy in white and it brought me so much peace knowing she has made the steps necessary to align her life with what the Lord wants. It was a blessing to be able to Skype in and see her all dressed in white when I am to far to come.

We had another lesson planned but when we showed up they weren't home. I was a bit sad because I was excited to teach this family. We headed back to the church and as we pulled into the parking lot there was a lady sitting there. She was a member who just wanted a peaceful place to pray. She returned from her mission about a year ago and just wants to be back spiritually where she was on her mission. I am excited to have her come along to lessons with us and she was more than happy to help us out!

Everyday is another witness that God puts you where he needs you. It's the small and simple things that ultimately make the difference. President Howard W. Hunter taught that “frequently it is the commonplace tasks … that have the greatest positive effect on the lives of others, as compared with the things that the world so often relates to greatness." Keep doing the small things throughout your week! I love you all

Sister Kiera Leavitt has always wanted to serve a mission! Kiera was blessed as an infant to serve a mission and her Patriarchal Blessing mentions several times about serving a mission.  When the age for girls was lowered, Kiera was ready to go even though she was still years away from age eligibility! She has planned and worked for it intently over the last 3 years.  She set a goal to finish Cosmetology school after graduation from Snow Canyon High School in May 2016.  She very seldom missed a day of school because she knew that she would have to make it up and that would extend her time further to be finished as well as possibly costing her more money if she happened to go over her time limit (in which she never even came close to! But she wasn't going to take any chances!) Kiera graduated from Hairitage Hair Academy in November 2016. Her plan was to work about 6 months so that she would have enough money to support her own mission.  So off to work at Fanta...

Blow The Door Off- March 15, 2018

Zone Temple Trip Family and Friends!  Lots to catch you up on. Hope I can remember everything I did. We have stayed super busy and we are not slowing down. This transfer is just flying by.  So on the 6th we had MLC. Which stands for Missionary Leadership Council. It was my first time going and it was so much fun!!! So many of my past companions were there, like Sister Allred and Sister John! We were able to council all togther of how to help the mission improve and what things we can do. What a huge blesisng it is to see that side of missionary work!  Sister Allred & Sister Leavitt One part I really loved about MLC was goal setting and planning. We talked about how we as missionariesare are really good at setting goals and making plans but we need to have a vision. Zone conference! Sept 19, 2017

Dear Family and Friends!   This week was such a spiritually uplifting week. On Thursday we went to zone conference where Elder Scott D Whiting and Elder Adilson De Paula Parrella of the seventy came and spoke to us. They allowed us as missionaries ask what ever questions we might have.  Some things I really enjoyed from the talks was  "it's only after pondering that you receive revilation" we need to practice pondering so we allow the things we learn to sink in and allow revilation to come.  Have you ever been in a conversation where someone talks to you and asks you for advice or questions but they don't allow you time to answer or talk?  Are we allowing the time in our prayers for Heavenly Father to answer us or are we just asking and interrupting because we keep talking?  "make a focus on one thing.
